Erath - Funeral services will be held on May 20, 2026, at 3:00 PM in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath, LA for Therese LeBlanc Bourque, age 86, who passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at her home. Interment will be held in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. Reverend Michael Delcambre will be the celebrant of the Funeral Mass and officiate the services. The family request that visitation be observed on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 1:00 PM until time of services in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, in the church at 2:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Kevin Dubois, Lee Galtier, Jonathan Galtier, Braden Galtier, Dillion Smith and Chris LeBlanc, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brady Bourque and Kenneth LeBlanc. Born on October 06, 1939, Therese lived a life defined by faith, love, family, Cajun/French music, genuine laughter, and a radiant smile. She dedicated years of her life to caring for two of her sick grandchildren until their deaths. Therese approached every life challenge with determination, warmth, conviction, courage, dedication, and purpose. She lived with grace, resilience, moral strength, human decency, and dignity. She treasured time spent with family and friends. Therese had a great appreciation for cooking cajun meals, baking cakes, and sweets for her family. She is survived by her children Ray Bourque, Jr., Brady Bourque and wife Dianne, Teresa Galtier and husband Lee, Danielle LeBlanc and Chris LeBlanc; grandchildren Tiffany Bourque Trahan and husband Jay, Therese “Angel” Bourque, Aimee Bourque, Todd John Bourque, Jr., Jonathan Galtier and wife Kimberly, Destine Galtier and fiance’ Dillon Smith, Braden Galtier, Khristin LeBlanc and boyfriend Samuel Spears and Chris LeBlanc, Jr.; great grandchildren, Kayden Vascocu, Maximus Galtier, Isaac Galtier, Kinley Viator, Finn Vice, Aurora LeBlanc, and Ivie LeBlanc; great great grandchild Kailey Vascocu; siblings, Kenneth LeBlanc and wife Mary, Mary Ann Dubois and Brenda Broussard. She was proceeded in death by her husband Ray Bourque, Sr., son Todd Bourque, Sr., grandchildren Brody Bourque, Damon Bourque, Brandy Bourque, Hunter Bourque, daughter-in-law Darlene Bourque, parents, Dalton and Hilda LeBlanc, brothers, Paul LeBlanc, and Eddie LeBlanc. The family would like to extend special thanks to her care team from Nursing Specialties, NP, Heather, RN, Marsha, OT, Denise and PT, Claude. Also, thanks to Vital Caring Group for providing hospice care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help defray the cost of the funeral expenses.
