Ronda B. Touchet

Erath- A Liturgy of the Word service will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 1:30 PM at Cypress Funeral Home in Maurice for Ronda B. Touchet , age 57, who passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025, in Lafayette. Deacon Keith Duhon of Our Lady of Prompt Succor will be officiate the service. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 1:30 PM at Cypress Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 12 noon. Ronda B. Touchet was born on October 17, 1967, in Abbeville, LA and she was a long time resident of Erath. Ronda was known for her vibrant personality, love of Cajun culture, and deep devotion to her family. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life—camping, fishing, traveling, and spending time at the beach. Ronda was also a passionate cook, always eager to share a good meal and a warm welcome. Her home, fondly known in the community as the “Snack-house,” was always filled with laughter, treats, and the love she so freely gave. Above all, Ronda was a loving mother and a devoted MiMi to her grandchildren, roles she cherished deeply. Her candid nature meant you always knew where you stood with her—she was honest, loyal, and full of heart. Ronda will be remembered for her strength, warmth, and the joy she brought into the lives of those around her. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Ronda is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Larry James Touchet, Sr. of Erath; her children, Derek Touchet (Tressa) of Erath, Naomi Meaux (Donnie) of Meaux, Izaha "Zae" Breaux of Erath, her stepsons, Shane Touchet of Texas, and Larry "JR" Touchet Jr. of Abbeville; her grandchildren, Kodi, Kristen, Hunter, Cru, Jhett "JJ"; her mother, Wanda Bertrand Breaux; her brother, Regan Breaux; her sisters, Regina "Gee" Breaux, and Marci Breaux. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Breaux. The family wishes to offer a heartfelt thank you to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital ICU floor 3, for the loving care and compassion they offered Ronda in her final days. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cypress Funeral Home & Crematory, 206 W. Lafayette St., Maurice, LA 70555.
