Ronald "Ronnie" Mack Broussard

Abbeville - A mass will be held at a later date to celebrate the life of Ronald "Ronnie" Mack Broussard, age 81, who passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at his home in Abbeville. Ronnie was born on October 10, 1944 in Abbeville, which he was a lifelong resident of. He was a devoted husband and loving father to his four girls, who meant the world to him. He was also a proud grandfather and treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren. Ronnie graduated from Mount Carmel High School and went on to play basketball at McNeese State University. After becoming a father, he spent many years coaching his daughters in Biddy basketball, creating memories they would cherish forever. Ronnie was a dedicated executive in the oil and gas industry and took great pride in his work throughout his career. He was also a loyal fan of LSU football and rarely missed cheering on the Tigers. One of his daughters’ favorite memories with their dad was the walk to the jetties during their family’s annual Fourth of July vacation in Destin, Florida — a tradition filled with laughter, conversation, and time together that will always hold a special place in their hearts. Ronnie will be dearly missed by everyone who had the opportunity to know and love him. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Marcell Marie Broussard; his children, Danielle Frederick (Nick) of Maurice, Camille Breaux (Micah) of Lafayette, Amelia Harb (Jeremy) of Lafayette, Gabrielle Broussard of Baton Rouge, Ronald Gomez of Venezuela, and Blaise Broussard; and his grandchildren, McKaine Frederick, Braiden Frederick, Emma Frederick, Elliot Breaux, Evelyn Breaux, Everett Harb, Oliver Harb, Mason Broome, Lawson Broussard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maxie and Wilda Broussard; and his siblings, Bernes Broussard, Carl Broussard, and Betty Broussard.
