Rena C. Hebert

Abbeville - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rena C. Hebert, beloved wife, mother and homemaker, who departed this life on January 12, 2026, at the age of 84. She lived a long and happy life and enjoyed babysitting great nieces and nephews and cooking for her family. Rena was the daughter of the late Joseph C.B. Connor and Agnes Turner Connor of Abbeville. She was married to the late Allen Dale Hebert of Erath, La. She is survived by her daughter, Loretta White (Dale Jr.) of Abbeville; her son, Jason Hebert (Angie) of Abbeville; her son, Travis Hebert (Cassie) of St. Martinville; and raised Keed Viator of New Iberia; her grandchildren, Keesha Broussard (Jason) of Abbeville, Davey Richard (Nicole) of Erath, Joshua Hebert (Mandy) of Abbeville, Kaitlin Dugas (Beau) of Abbeville, Brooke Basset (Seth) of Delcambre and Myriam Hebert of St. Martinville; her great-grandchildren Kaylynn Cormier (Matt), Gage Broussard (Brittany), Lexie Broussard, Kelsie Broussard, Gracie Richard (Gavin), Abbygayl Richard (Caleb), Hailey, Jonah and Noah Hebert, Mason Basset and Rhen and Ria Dugas; her great-great-grandchildren, Olivia, Anna, and Luke Cormier, and Eloise Broussard; her sisters-in-law, Catherine Connors of Abbeville and Enola Connor of Abbeville; her siblings, Dorothy Turner of Erath, Collins “Buck” Conner of Abbeville, Glenda Boudreaux (Ray) of Kinder, and Kim White (Dale Sr.) of Abbeville; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Rena was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Heidi Richard; her stepmother, Evella “Noon” Connor of Abbeville; Crystal Williams, whom she raised; her brothers, Percy Connor, Butch Connor, Bradley Connor, Warren Connor, and Roger Connors; and her sisters, Beverly Connor and Jeanette Connor. The family of Rena would like to extend a special thanks to Mrs. Claire and the staff at Cypress Funeral Home for their compassion and assistance; as well as Acadian Ambulance Service, the Abbeville Fire Department, and Vermilion Parish S.O. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Cemetery in Erath. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cypress Funeral Home & Crematory, 206 W.
