Paul Wayne Meyers

Broussard - Paul Meyers, 59, of Broussard passed away peacefully June 29, after a long battle with dementia. Paul was born in New Iberia, Louisiana to Betty Dore, and Arthur Landry on February 28, 1966. Paul distinguished himself as a skilled carpenter, operating his own business for many years, his hard-work, commitment and dedication inspired many. He approached each project with a meticulous attention to detail. Paul loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing were a passion of his, it brought him so much joy and peace where he could unwind. He also had a passion for gardening where he spent numerous hours with his brother-in-law Denny perfecting a garden. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Rachel Huval Meyers, daughter Danielle Meyers of Broussard; grand-children Aubree Meyers, Amara Guidry, and Troy Guidry, Siblings: Sarah Michelle Rogers(Denny), John Bertrand (Chantell), Jerry Bertrand Jr(Andrea), Brock Dore. Stepdad: Alfred N Landry Jr., Mother In Law Kathy Bruno Huval, Brother in law David Huval. He is survived by Numerous nieces, nephews, Uncles and Aunts. Paul was devoted to his family and his love for them was unwavering. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. We take comfort, knowing he’s at peace walking in the beauty of heaven. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Betty Dore, Landry and Arthur Landry. Grandparents Junius Dore Sr. and Uline Touchet Dore., Aunt Gloria Dore Viator, Uncle Gloris Dore Sr., Father-In-Law McCraig Huval, Brother In Law Darrell Gary The family would like to extend a special thank you to Saint Joseph’s Hospice, Carpenter House, and loving Hearts for the care, and compassion they showed our loved one during his challenging time. Thank you to the nurses who gave such good quality care to our loved one, Sharell, Connie, Sarah, Janet, and Alexander. Thank you to all the family members who were there when we needed you most. In honor of Paul’s wishes the family will hold a private celebration of life at a later time.
