Patty Fontenot

Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for, Patty Lane Fontenot, who passed away Sunday, May 10th, 2020, in Church Point, LA. Patty was born on November 18th, 1965 in Lafayette, Louisiana and was a lifelong resident of Acadiana. She was known as, Patty the Painter, due to the quality of work and talent she displayed through her company ‘‘Exclusive Painting”. She loved dancing, spending time outdoors, swimming and being with her family. Patty was a very honest woman who always knew what to say, even if you didn’t want to hear it, she’d tell you the truth. No matter what struggles life handed her, she remained faithful. Patty will be remembered as a strong and loving woman, who will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Patty is survived by her son, Michael Fontenot and his wife Laura Smith of New Iberia; her spouse, Kevin Broussard of Abbeville; her brothers, Keith Trahan and his wife Vicky, Scotty Trahan and his spouse Ken, Timothy Trahan and his wife Christine; her sisters, Karrie Trahan and her husband Amiel, Wanda Trahan Romero and her spouse Joel, Shannon Trahan Meche; her aunt, Nita Benoit; niece, Jamie Derouen. She was preceded in death by her parents, Betty Lou-Ann Trahan and Desire Trahan. A prayer for Patty - God has given us eternal life,and this life is in his Son. The one who has the Son has life. The one who does not have the Son of God does not have life. I have written these things to you who believe in the name of Jesus so that you may know that you have eternal life.
