Michelle Ghent Seaton

Maurice - With profound sorrow and overwhelming love, we announce the passing of Michelle Ghent Seaton, who departed this life on May 27, 2025, at the age of 36. Born in Jeanerette, Louisiana, and a resident of Maurice, Michelle was a radiant soul whose light touched countless lives. Michelle was the devoted wife of Trey Seaton—the love of her life—and a fiercely loving mother to their daughters: Bryn Ghent-Lewis, Dorothy Seaton, and Estelle Seaton. Her family was her greatest joy and deepest pride. A passionate and driven entrepreneur, Michelle was the founder and creative force behind Surprise Ring Bombs. She also thrived as a sales representative for LFT Fiber, where her brilliance, tireless work ethic, and warmth left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. Michelle was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Annette Holbrook; her maternal grandparents, Grace and Robert Holbrook; and her paternal grandparents, John C. Ghent and Beulah Mae Ghent. Their memory was a guiding presence throughout her life. She is survived by her loving husband and daughters; her father and stepmother, Steve and Maria Ghent; and her sisters, Nicki Ghent and Cynthia Ghent. She is also fondly remembered by her in-laws, Tommy and Marlayna LeBlanc and Teddy Seaton; her sister-in-law, Taylor LeBlanc Breaux (Chris); and her brothers-in-law, Dylan LeBlanc, Jeremy LeBlanc, Kaleb LeBlanc, and Cameron Seaton. Michelle’s closest friends, Cortni Mire and Rachel Wiggins, were like sisters to her and stood by her side through every season of life. She also leaves behind a large extended family—including uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews—each of whom she loved deeply and who loved her dearly in return. Michelle’s heart was open to all. Whether she was rescuing animals, organizing fundraisers, or offering a safe space for those in need, her life was a testament to compassion, generosity, and joy. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 5:00 PM at Rip Van Winkle Gardens, located at 5505 Rip Van Winkle Road, New Iberia, LA 70560. The family invites all who attend to honor Michelle in the spirit in which she lived—vibrantly, joyfully, and full of color. Please wear bright colors and come prepared to share memories filled with love and laughter. Michelle will be missed beyond words, but her love, strength, and the radiant light she brought into this world will never be forgotten.
