New Iberia - A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 1:15 PM at Cypress Funeral Home for Kerry James Vincent, age 43, who passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at his residence in New Iberia. Felix Sellers will be the celebrant. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025 from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM at Cypress Funeral Home in Maurice. Kerry was born on August 31, 1982 in Youngsville and he was a resident of Youngsville and New Iberia. He lived his life with a happy-go-lucky spirit and a kind heart, always ready to help anyone in need. Kerry was a devoted father; he cherished every moment spent with his boys, Aston and Carter, and adored his loyal dogs, Zesus and Fraya. He found joy in the outdoors, especially when fishing and hunting with his dad, and he proudly supported his father’s music, even trying to learn to play himself. Kerry loved getting tattoos, loved his family deeply, and was the first to lend a helping hand whenever someone needed him. He shared an especially close bond with his mother, Sheila Vincent, and carried a positive attitude toward life that lifted the people around him. His best friend, Tabby Landry, remained by his side through everything. Kerry went peacefully at home, surrounded by the family who loved him beyond measure. He has now gone home to be reunited with his grandparents, carrying with him all the love and light he shared so freely in this life. Kerry is survived by his children, Aston and Carter Vincent of Lafayette; his parents, Kevin Vincent Sr. and Sheila Vincent; his siblings, Kevin Vincent Jr., Crystal Vincent Ellender, and Korey Vincent; his grandfather, James Desormeaux; his uncles, Darren Desormeaux, Robert Desormeaux, Chris Desormeaux, Gene Vincent, Galvey Vincent, Albert Vincent, and Brandon Vincent; his aunts, Gwen Vincent and Tammy Vincent; his nieces, Andrea Connolly and Samantha Gonzales; as well as his best friend, Tabby Landry. The family would like to give a special thanks to Bridgeway Hospice for taking care of him in the comfort of his own home as he passed on. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cypress Funeral Home & Crematory, 206 W. Lafayette St., Maurice, LA 70555.
