Dennis Webb Robison

Lafayette - A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Zea Rotisserie and Bar in Lafayette for Dennis Webb Robison, age 78, who passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2026, peacefully at his home in Lafayette. Dennis was born on December 19, 1947, in Olla, LA. He was a long-time resident of Lafayette. In 1998, Dennis married the love of his life, Debbie Wiggins. Dennis loved to have a good time and was always the life of the party. He loved music, particularly Johnny Cash and dancing to 1960s music like “Brown Eyed Girl” by Van Morrison. Dennis was an avid hunter, particularly deer and dove hunting. Dennis excelled in his career in the drilling industry as an instrumentation technician on both land and offshore rigs, often described as “the best” at solving problems. He always said he saw enough of the Gulf for a lifetime. In his free time, he much preferred visiting lakes and mountains, enjoying water skiing and snow skiing. His extensive travels with Debbie included an Alaskan cruise and a North Sea cruise, highlighted by a visit to Normandy and an overnight train trip over the Canadian Rockies to Jasper, Lake Louise, and Banff, Canada. Dennis was a man of faith. He and Debbie attended Family Life Church, followed by The Bayou Church. He loved babies and enjoyed volunteering with Debbie in the church nursery. Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Deborah Ann Wiggins; his children, Dennis Wesley Robison (Angelique), Rhonda Robison Shirah (Dewayne), and Laura Robison Vukosavljevic (Dragon); his seven grandchildren, Derek Robison, Aaron Robison, Hope Robison, Grant Shirah, Reed Shirah, Aleksandar Vukosavljevic, and Lana Vukosavljevic; his great grandchild, Maggie Colleen Robison; and his siblings, Glen Robison and Brenda Gail Nettles. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Webb Robison Jr. and Grace Juanita Dunn.
