Dalton "Joe" Zeno

Breaux Bridge – Dalton “Joe” Zeno, Jr., age 69, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 8, 2024, at his residence in Breaux Bridge with his loving wife by his side. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, time and place to be announced in the coming days. Dalton “Joe” Zeno, Jr. was born to Dalton and Mildred Zeno on July 26, 1955, in Lafayette and he was a longtime resident of Breaux Bridge. Joe was loved by everyone he came in contact with. No matter the place, he always knew someone. Some would even say he was the life of any party. In his spare time, Joe enjoyed riding his horses, visiting the zoo, going on cruises, and spending time with family and friends. He was always there to help in any way he could, no matter how far he was. When we look back at all the moments shared, whether it was a conversation, a drink, a joke, or watching a game, he was always himself. Joe made everyone feel like family. He will be missed physically by his wife, kids, family and friends, but we will always have the special moments we all shared. Joe is survived by his loving wife Emily Zeno; his children, Kendrick Zeno (Dee), Ronald (Bonnie) Adair, Donnie (Kala) Adair, Chasity (Joseph) Bellard, and Cassidy (Bryan Alexander) Zeno; his grandchildren, Kelsea, Keldrick, Kelsha, Kelnitra, Kelvondrick, Anfernee (Daizha), Nicholas, Devin, Makayla, Donasia, Dylan, Donnie Jr., Damyrick, and Destiny; 16 great-grandchildren, 3 bonus children whom he loved as his own, Deantrell (Hallie), Roman, and Stella; his brothers, Shelton, Hilton, Daniel, Abram (Connie) Zeno, and Percy Barber (Maria); his sisters, Menola and Queenola (Andrew) Nicholas; his sister-in-law Brandyé (Roland) Carter; his brother-in-law, Wade (Caroline) Adair; his father-in-law, Robert Adair, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dalton and Mildred Zeno; his brothers, Milton and Manuel; his sister, Viola; his daughter, Kelly; his mother-in-law, Marthina Adair; his bonus mother-in-law, Carolyn; his brother-in-law, Clarence Stewart; as well as his sister-in-law, Carmelita. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cypress Funeral Home & Crematory, 206 W. Lafayette St., Maurice, LA 70555.
