Indian Bayou – Carolyn Ruth Jones Boulet “MeMe”, age 78, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2026 surrounded by her loving family at her home in Indian Bayou. A Life Well Lived Carolyn Boulet lived a life that reflected the love, faithfulness, and grace of Jesus Christ. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, beloved great-grandmother, faithful friend, and a woman whose quiet servant's heart touched countless lives. On June 3, 1966, Carolyn married the love of her life, Gerald "Joey" Boulet. Together they built a home in the country community of Indian Bayou, where they shared nearly six decades of marriage filled with love, faith, hard work, and unwavering commitment to one another. Whether riding alongside Joey on the tractor while he worked the cattle, tending her beautiful flower beds, or spending a day antique shopping together, Carolyn found joy in the simple blessings God had given her. Above all, Carolyn loved the Lord with all her heart. Her faith was not simply something she professed—it was the foundation upon which she lived every day. She faithfully served for many years as Missionary President in the Church of the Nazarene, leading others with compassion and dedication. She participated in numerous missionary trips, always willing to use the spiritual gifts God had entrusted to her to serve people, encourage churches, and share Christ's love wherever he called her. Carolyn was also known throughout the Indian Bayou community as "Mrs. Carolyn," the caring teacher's aide at Indian Bayou School, where she faithfully served generations of children before retiring. Her gentle spirit, patience, and encouraging smile left lasting impressions on countless students and families who were blessed to know her. Her greatest earthly treasures were her family. She loved her children with all her heart, but she found a special joy in being a grandmother and, later, a great-grandmother. She treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, faithfully lifting each one before the Lord in prayer. More than anything, she desired for every one of them to know Jesus Christ as Savior and to walk faithfully with Him. Through her own life of kindness, humility, steadfast faith, and unconditional love, she showed them what it truly meant to live as a Christian and to trust God in every season of life. Those who knew Carolyn also knew one of her favorite weekly traditions. If someone was looking for her on a Saturday morning, there was a good chance they would find her at Walmart in Crowley. Week after week, year after year, she faithfully made her Saturday morning trip, greeting familiar faces and becoming part of the rhythm of the community she loved. Carolyn will be remembered for her unwavering faith, servant's heart, gentle spirit, generous love, and steadfast devotion to God and her family. Her life was a testimony that the greatest legacy we leave is not found in earthly possessions but in the lives we touch, the prayers we faithfully pray, and the example of Christ we live before others. Though her family grieves her absence, they rejoice in the promise of Scripture, knowing she has heard the words every faithful servant longs to hear: "Well done, good and faithful servant... Enter into the joy of your Lord." — Matthew 25:23 Carolyn's life reminds us that a godly woman leaves footprints of faith that continue long after she is gone. Her love, her faithful prayers, and her Christlike example will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all whose lives she touched. Her greatest legacy is not simply what she accomplished, but the generations she pointed toward Jesus Christ by the way she faithfully lived every day. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Gerald Eldon Boulet “Joey, Papaw, Hunn”; her children, Angela Daigle of Montgomery, Texas and Joseph Rowdy Dale Daigle of Montgomery, Texas; her grandchildren, Morgan Boulet Daigle Khan, Bailey Daigle Vaughn, Matthew “Paul” Daigle, and Sarah Daigle; her great grandchildren, Jennah Khan and Malachi Khan; her siblings, Yvonne Dietz (Ted) of Crowley, Rocky Jones of Crowley, and Tammy Smith (Chris) of Crowley; her God children, Joel Faulk and Amanda Delcambre; as well as Tim Boulet, Beth Hayes, Rylan Boulet, Kristie Garrett, Frisa Hall, Joel Faulk, Scott Faulk, Melody Faulk, Jason Boulet, Kurt Rivet, Lindsay Rivet, Nikki Menard, Tina West, Kimberly Cooper, Bradley Jones, Allen Jones, Amanda Delcambre, Teddy Dietz, Laurie Bellard, Ryan Dietz, Jamie Dietz, Troy Bourque, Matthew Smith, Aaron Smith, and Allison Zagal. She was preceded in death by her parents, Esther and Samson Jones; her brothers, Roger Jones and Bobby Jones; her mother and father-in-law, Paul and Ruth Boulet; her nephews, Ricky Jones and Chris Boulet; her nieces, Jennifer Boulet and Sophie Riling Rosetsky; and her sister-in-law, Mary Boulet. Carolyn’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Lamm Hospice-Nurse Marissa, CNA Charlene, Nurse April, and Social Workers Dr. Stringfellow. Family, Pastor Barry, and friends who came out these past 6 days. There were about 150 people coming to Mrs. Boulet's house loving, praying, holding hands, or just sitting with us. As well as Jan Rivet and Lindsay Rivet for the around the clock care from the beginning to the end. A memorial service will be announced and held at a later date.
