Youngsville - A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville for Candace Britt Porche, age 49, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 9, 2025, surrounded by family at her home in Youngsville. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025 from 9:00 AM until service time at St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville. Candace was born on January 27, 1976 in Houma and she was a longtime resident of Youngsville. She was a dedicated employee of Halliburton for over 30 years, where her work ethic, loyalty, and determination earned the respect of her colleagues. She approached her career with the same commitment and pride that she brought to every aspect of her life. At home, Candace was a devoted wife and loving mother whose children were always her first priority. Her smile and laughter could brighten any room, and her selflessness left a lasting mark on everyone she loved. She faced life’s challenges head on, teaching those around her the meaning of courage and strength. She was known for making every event special in her own way; she organized games at cookouts, made her way to every volleyball game as a number one supporter, and was always ready to build a puzzle with her friends and family. Candace cherished the lifelong friendship of “The Regulators,” her close-knit group of childhood friends. Their bond was a rare and unique one that spanned across decades of years and only grew stronger as time went on. She was also never without the loving companionship of her dogs, Lucy and Shelby. Candace was a gem in this world, and her family and friends are better for having known her. She will be deeply missed by many, but never forgotten. Candace is survived by her husband of almost 27 years, David Joseph Porche Jr.; her children, Jonas Taylor Porche and Abigail Rene Porche; her mothers, Lillianne Douglas (Roy) and Anita Britt; her grandfather, Allen Taylor; her sister, Kayla Peltier (Jake); her brother, Ralph Britt (Haley), her in-laws, David Porche Sr. and Michelle Porche; her sister-in-law, Renee Templet (Jason); her brother-in-law, Matthew Porche (Kacy), her Godchildren, Madeline Melancon, Kamryn Peltier, Avery Porche, and Karley Britt; her nephews, Seth and Zachary Templet, Owen Porche, Chase Peltier, and Brody Britt; as well as her niece, Ellie Britt. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert “Bob” Britt; as well as her grandparents, Bill and Reba Britt, Liz and Herman "Bud" Pattison; and Curtis and Eve Ledet.
