Britny Ree Thibodeaux

Lafayette - Britny Ree Thibodeaux, a beloved wife, devoted mother, and cherished friend, passed away on June 12, 2025, in Lafayette, Louisiana, at the age of 31. Her vibrant spirit, generous heart, and deep love for her family and friends leave behind a legacy of kindness and creativity that will never be forgotten. A memorial service will be held for Britny on Monday, June 16, 2025 at Cypress Funeral Home in Maurice, Louisiana, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:30 PM. Britny was the loving wife of Zachary Thibodeaux, with whom she shared 12 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a beautiful life centered around love, laughter, and their greatest joy their 9-year-old son, Sean Thibodeaux. Britny was a proud and devoted mother whose world revolved around her son. Creative at heart, Britny found joy in all forms of art—from the simple pleasure of coloring, to the beauty of painting. She had a special gift for capturing the warmth of life through photography, especially during family gatherings and celebrations. Whether behind a camera or surrounded by her loved ones, Britny was always creating memories. She was a tauntie and nanny to all her siblings' children, a role she cherished deeply. Her selfless nature and nurturing heart made her not just a family member, but a guiding light in the lives of many. Britny loved to attend get-togethers, laugh with friends, and soak up every moment spent with the people she loved most. Above all, Britny was a woman of incredible warmth and compassion. She consistently put others before herself, and her kindness touched everyone who knew her. Her love will continue to live on in her family, her friends, and all those whose lives were brightened by her presence. She will be missed beyond words and remembered with endless love. Britny is survived by her loving husband, Zachary Thibodeaux; her son, Sean Thibodeaux; her father, William Stockton; her siblings, Tosha Romero, Chelsie Whiteside, Tanya Romero, Trisha Romero; as well as a host of extended family and friends whom she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her mother, Sharron Skyes. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cypress Funeral Home & Crematory, 206 W. Lafayette St., Maurice, LA 70555.
