Bridget Landry White

Maurice - A Liturgy of the Word will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Cypress Funeral Home in Maurice for Bridget Landry White, age 50, who passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026 in Lafayette. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026 from 9:00 AM until service time at Cypress Funeral Home. A Rosary will be prayed at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at St. Alphonsus cemetery in Maurice following the services. Bridget was born on March 23, 1976 in Abbeville, and she was a longtime resident of Maurice. She held many different jobs over the years, meeting people from all different walks of life. From her time living in Milton, Bridget worked as a substitute teacher and worked at the Dollar General. She also babysat and worked at a daycare as well; she was great with children. Walmart and Joann’s was another place Bridget worked, and it helped to fuel her creative spirit. In her free time, she loved reading, but especially loved to crochet. Bridget often made hats, blankets, and whatever else was needed for the organization out of Breaux Bridge that collected clothes for preemie babies in the NICU, using her talent to warm the bodies and hearts of those babies in need. Her jobs were always important to her, but not in the same way that her family was to her. Her daughter, her parents, and of course, her animals were the most important things in her lives. "Our beloved daughter, sister, and mother, gone too soon. You’ve gone but will never be forgotten. You will always be in our hearts. "Trisha will miss you and always appreciate all you have done for her. You were the best mother anyone could have ever had. You were my guiding light." Bridget is survived by her daughter, Trisha Ann White of Maurice; her parents, Lou Ella D. Landry and Joseph L. Landry; her sister, Tiffany L. Henderson (Dennis Jr.) of Milton; her niece, Kristen Henderson; her nephew, Kaleb Henderson; her Godparents, Earlene and Michael Doiron of Maurice; as well as her Godchildren, Tyler Doiron and Lestat Conner. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Wilson Desormeaux and Edith Simon Desormeaux of Maurice; paternal grandparents, John Reidly Landry and Verna Boullion of Erath. Pallbearers are: Dennis Henderson Jr., Tyler Doiron, Lestat Conner, Chadwick Conner, and Brian Doiron. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the third floor of Our Lady of Lourdes in Lafayette and at the Our Lady of Lourdes Heart Hospital for the wonderful care they offered to Bridget in her time of need. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cypress Funeral Home & Crematory, 206 W. Lafayette St., Maurice, LA 70555.
