Anthony "Tony" Craig Stoute

Ridge- A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at 4:30 PM at Family Life Church in Lafayette for Anthony “Tony” Craig Stoute, age 64, who went to be with the Lord on May 22, 2025. Pastors Todd Menard and Brandon Miller will officiate the service. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 25, 2025, from 3:00 PM until the time of service at Family Life Church in Lafayette. Anthony “Tony” Craig Stoute was born on December 15th, 1960, in Creole, Louisiana in Cameron parish. He grew up in Erath, Louisiana, and was a graduate of Erath High school class of 1981. He met his wife Debi Stoute in 1984, and they were married in July 19, 1986. Together they have been residents of Ridge, Louisiana in Lafayette parish for the last 30 years. Tony dedicated the majority of his career to offshore work, gaining experience with various oil companies. He concluded his work in Oil & Gas in 2019 due to health concerns, having spent the latter part of his career as a foreman at Fieldwood Energy. Tony as most people knew him, loved his family first and foremost. He was the epitome of a family man. Everything he did was for his family. His passions were gardening ,birdwatching, hunting and fishing. He grew beautiful children and equally as beautiful gardens. Tending to garden and taking care of his plants were one of his greatest passions. He also enjoyed cutting his grass, building birdhouses, and listening to his favorite music. Tony and his family bonded most over meals and snacks shared. He was an excellent chef and his family enjoyed his gumbos, Red beans and rice, and rice and gravy’s just to name a few. He was also, a foodie, and enjoyed a cooked meal or a new type of food just as much as he enjoyed cooking. Tony is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Deborah (Debi) Theriot Stoute; his seven children: Candice Theriot Guillory (Joshua) of Raceland, Corey Stoute (Haley) of Youngsville, Samantha Eckerle (Stephen) of Kenner, Christopher Stoute (Paris) of Harahan, Rebekah Stoute (Tyler) of Lafayette, Gabrielle Ciaccio (Jonathan) of Metairie, and Madelyn Benoit (Daden) of Duson; his beloved grandchildren: Brooks, Hayes, Corey John, Carrie Ann, Cayleigh, Chase, Wyatt, Wrynn, Elise, Stephen, Eden, Emry, Luca, and Theo; his parents Clovis John and Estella B. Stoute of Erath; his siblings: John Stoute (Linda) of Minden,Theresa Stoute of Erath, Rita Moss of Erath, Gwen (Sean) Bodin of Erath, and Martin Stoute, of Erath; as well as his nieces and nephews: Ryan Kirkconnell, Shontell Bellow, Jarred Stoute, AJ Moss, Shelby Carrier, Riley Moss, Bryce Bodin, Tate Bodin, Bailey Punch, Marissa Stoute, and Chloe Stoute. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Addison Stoute; his sister, Kathleen Kirkconnell; his brother in law, Robert Everett Moss; and his sister in law Susan Stoute.
