Milton- Memorial services will be held at a later date for William Paul Hebert, age 63, who passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2020, in Lafayette. William was born on December 6, 1956 in Lafayette, Louisiana and was a resident of Milton. He was a graduate of Comeaux High school. After high school he went on to serve his country in the United States Navy. He was employed for many years as a welder and mechanic by the Public Works Department in New Hyde Park, New York. In his spare time William enjoyed fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, mowing his lawn, watching television and studying his bible. Most of all William loved Jesus, he always put others first, he loved his family and his grandchildren. He also enjoyed volunteering at his home church as a usher and a greeter, William never met a stranger he was always open to everyone. He had a kind smile and kind face. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather, and as a faithful Christian. William will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Joan Leslie Hebert; his son, Shane Matthew Hebert; his daughters, Veronica Leah Dennis and Maryann Kathleen Racca; his grandchildren, Jovi Tess Racca, Lincoln Jeremiah Racca, Bennett John Racca, Henry Bishop Dennis; and his siblings, Joseph Rex Hebert III and John Eric Hebert. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Rex Hebert Jr. and Barbara Schexnider.
