Vicki L. Domingue Jones Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Lafayette - A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 29, 2021 at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Cypress Funeral Home in Maurice for Vicki L. Domingue Jones, age 61, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, November 25, 2021, surrounded by her family. Pastor Bobby Richard of "One Church" of Lafayette will conduct the service. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 29, 2021 from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM in the Cypress Chapel. Vicki Lynn Jones was born on November 7, 1960 in Rapides Parish and she was a life long resident of Lafayette, Louisiana. She will be remembered as a strong, independent, and caring woman. Vicki always offered a helping hand to those who were in need. Her house was a welcome place during the holidays, not only for her family, but also for all who where hungry. She had a very big heart, and she had lots of love to give. Vicki was a great listener, she was always available to lend an ear and to talk with those she loved. She was a mother of 4 children, who regarded her not only as their mother, but also as their best friend. Along with her children Vicki was also a devoted grandmother and she cherished the time that she spent with both her children and grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoyed Fishing with her son David, spending time at the beach with her family, as well as listening to music. Vicki will be dearly missed and her memories will be cherished forever. Vicki is survived by her children, Sonya Trahan (Troy) of Lafayette, David Domingue (Tasha) of Lafayette, and Mandy Domingue of Lafayette; her 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; her father, Frank M. Jones, Jr.; as well as her siblings, Alicia Ferney of Lafayette, Charlotte Menard of Lafayette, Herman Ray Jones of Lafayette, Kristina Dugas of Texas, and Angela Simon of Broussard. She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Padgett Jones; and her daughter, Racheal Domingue. The family wishes to offer a special Thank You to the Nurses, Doctors and Staff of Hospice Compassus for the loving care and compassion they provided to Vicki during her time of need.
