Randy L. Menard Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Maurice - A Liturgy of the Word Service will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Cypress Funeral Home in Maurice for Randy L. Menard, age 67, who passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022 in Lafayette, Louisiana. Deacon Cody Miller will conduct the funeral services. Visitation will be held in the Cypress Chapel on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM; visitation will continue on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM. A Rosary will be led by Deacon Cody Miller on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 6:00 PM in the Cypress Chapel. Randy Lynn Menard was born in Lafayette, Louisiana on November 27, 1954 and he was a long time resident of Maurice. Randy is survived by his children, Lauren Menard of Milton, Breelan Menard of Milton, and Justin Abshire (Nicole) of Lafayette; his granddaughter, Devyn Duhon; his brothers, Patrick Menard of Lafayette, and Carl Menard (Laura) of Lafayette; the mother of his children, Cathy Cobb of Milton; and his long time friend, Cerelle Abshire of Maurice. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson Menard and Ethel Trahan Menard; his brother, Jimmy Menard; his nephew, Rowdy Menard; and his son, Chad Abshire. The Menard family wishes to offer a Special Thank you to the Nurses, Doctors and Staff of St. Joseph's Carpenter House Hospice for the care and compassion they provided Randy during his time of need. Entombment will be held in the mausoleum of St. Alphonsus Catholic Cemetery in Maurice.
