Nelda "Jean" Lovett Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Abbeville - A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Cypress Funeral Home in Maurice for Nelda "Jean" Lovett, 75, who passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Nelda "Jean" Kirkland was born on May 28, 1946 in Ranger, Texas and she was a resident of Abbeville for the last 25 years. After the passing of her beloved husband "Mr. Dean". Miss Jean's biggest passions were Bingo, Nascar, and football season. These activities brought Jean and her family together on many occasions. Her children and grandchildren all joined her in the local Bingo Halls for laughter and a good times well spent. She spent every waking hour taking care of her family in some capacity be it physical, mental or emotional. She was our biggest teacher and our best friend. She taught us all "Unconditional Love" and She will be greatly missed. Yesterday we cried for her loss, today we smile for her gain as she is now reunited with Mr. Dean once again. We have peace in knowing that they are together in heaven smiling down upon us. Jean is survived by her children, Michael Todd Morgan (Charlene), Jodi Michelle Suire (Clifford), and Jonathan Dean Lovett (Amy); her grandchildren, Zachary Morgan, Alexander Morgan, Mikayla Morgan, Jacob Suire, Jada Lovett, McKenzi Lovett and Eva Lovett; as well as her sister Nedra J. Lamar (Richard aka "Doink"). She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 23 years Dean Morris Lovett; as well as her parents Roy E. Kirkland and Jo Nell Rains Kirkland. Nelda Jean Lovett will be laid to rest in her native state of Texas with her family.
