Broussard - Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at 6:00 PM at Cypress Funeral Home in Maurice for Michael Joseph Bergeron, age 41, who passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at his residence in Broussard, Louisiana. Bishop Carlos Harvin of Lafayette will officiate the services. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022, from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Cypress Funeral Home. Michael was born on September 18, 1980, in Lafayette, Louisiana, and he was a lifelong resident of Acadiana. Michael attended Teurlings Catholic High School and Lafayette High School. After high school, he went to work as a CNC Machinist for many years. He enjoyed listening to music, singing, and spending quality time with those he loved. There was a special place in his heart for his friends and his animals. He will be dearly missed. Michael is survived by his wife of 11 years, Monique Ahmed Bergeron; his daughter, Natalia Elaine Bergeron; his mother, Lydia Sas-Jaworsky Bergeron; and his 4 stepchildren, Jakob Foreman, Madasyn Gibson, Makena Gibson, and Jayme Gibson. He is preceded in death by his father, Godfrey James Bergeron; his grandparents, Dr. & Mrs. Alexander Sas-Jaworsky, and Mr. & Mrs. D.J. Bergeron Sr.; as well as his God Mother, Martha Sas-Jaworsky.
