Katharine "Kathy" LeBlanc Meaux Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Lafayette - Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Cypress Funeral Home in Maurice, LA for Katharine Leblanc Meaux, age 62, who passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022, in Lafayette, Louisiana. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022, from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at Cypress Funeral Home. A Rosary will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at 11:30 am at Cypress Funeral Home. Katharine “Kathy” Leblanc Meaux was born on June 15, 1959, in Abbeville, LA and was a lifelong resident of Vermilion Parish. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Kathy was an outspoken woman with a loving heart. She was always willing to help anyone that she was able to and loved spending time with everyone. Kathy loved crocheting, playing BINGO, fishing, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends. She had always been a hard-working woman who made her start at Abbeville General Hospital, then progressed to different places such as Fruit of the Loom, Hess, and Acadiana Contractors. Kathy had a special place in her heart for her one and only grandchild, Jay Meaux, but opened her arms to all of her extended grandchildren as well. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Michael Meaux; children, Chris Meaux and his wife, Fay, and Chad Meaux and his wife, Christy; grandchild, Jay Meaux; step-grandchildren, B.J., Elliot, Hannah, and Spencer; great-grandchildren, Asher and Jenson; brother, Michael Leblanc; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Griffin; father, Eric Leblanc; father-in-law, Roy Meaux; and siblings, James and Betty Leblanc. The family wishes to extend a very special and heartfelt thank you to her loving caregiver for the last nine months, Nicole Delahoussaye. Nicole made Kathy’s last days joyful and she loved her like one her own, as does her family. Also, thank you to The Carpenter House and staff, especially Ms. Kelly and Father Francis. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in memory of Katharine Leblanc Meaux to St. Joseph Hospice. Cypress Funeral Home & Crematory, 206 W.
