Lafayette - Karla Blanchard Chiscari was a caring daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world on February 18, 2022 at the age of 61, after a courageous battle with cancer. Karla was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest. Karla dedicated 25 years of her life to being a nurse. Her selfless care for others was proven until the last days of her life. Karla had a great love for music and dancing. Through the toughest of days, she found the energy to sing along and dance to Motown and 70's funk favorites. But the greatest love Karla had was the love for her children and grandchildren. Karla's grandchildren where her world. Her courage in facing life's challenges with a smile was because of those 3 girls. There is no doubt that her granddaughters will have the most protective and loving guardian angel now, and she will most definitely be dancing while fulfilling that duty. Karla is survived by her children, Joy Deel Moscovis and her husband Caleb Moscovis, and Beth Deel Sonnier and her husband Richard Edward Sonnier; her grandchildren, Amber Moscovis, Sienna Moscovis, and Edith Sonnier; her parents, Bernard Blanchard, and Agnes Dupuis Blanchard; her siblings, Burt Blanchard (Peggy), Valerie Blanchard McClanahan (Todd), Brent Blanchard (Leah), and Natalie Blanchard; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ramona Blanchard Soileau, Maternal Grandparents Dupuis, and Paternal Grandparents Blanchard.
