Davis Reflections of Life Jules “Joe” Guidry Jules “Joe” Guidry. transitioned peacefully the morning of September 8,2024 with the love of his family surrounding him. Jules was a native of New Iberia, LA. Jules was born to the late Lucien “BaJo” Guidry and Louise Gardner Guidry. He was a man that wore many hats, no matter what hat he wore, it never changed the love that he had for his family and friends. Jules was a man of style, he carried himself as such from the way he walked, the style of clothing he wore and to the tone of his voice. It never matters where he was, everywhere he went they knew he was from the little big town “New Iberia, LA”. Jules “Joe” Guidry, lived in Houston for 16 or more years where he later met the love of his life the late Beatrice Joyce, where now they are back together again. Jules, moved back to New Iberia, knowing that being home with family was the best thing for him. He would often say,” Now, it’s time for me to put up my traveling shoes and hang around for a while” and he gave up his passion of traveling, not knowing that he was right where God needed him to be, with family. He leaves to cherish his memories with one daughter Joanna Johnson, of New Iberia, LA; one son Reginald Mack of Dallas, TX: two grandchildren Shanica Westley and Tyric Westley and four great grandchildren, Tyric Westley, Jr. Jurnei’ Westley, Kaleigh Wilkson, and Nathan Wilkson. One brother Chester L. Guidry of Atlanta, GA; three sisters Betty Joseph, Catherine Guidry, and Gail Doffney all of New Iberia, LA; three aunts Vivian Snow, Leanna Gardner Sayrie and Verna Mae Gardner all of New Iberia, LA whom he had unconditional love and respect for and a host of nieces and nephews that he shared a great deal of love and special moments with. Jules was preceded in death by his parents Lucein “Bajo” Guidry and Louise Gardner Guidry, one brother Russell “Butch” Guidry, four sisters Helen “Ma-dear” Guidry, Lillie “Tea-Ta” Barns, Marian “Mamie” Manuel, and Myrtle “Leelee" Vanderbilt, one niece Nicole St. Julien and his forever love Beatrice Romar. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cypress Funeral Home & Crematory, 206 W. Lafayette St., Maurice, LA 70555.
