Lafayette - John Hugh Fisher, 65, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2022 in Lafayette, Louisiana. John Hugh Fisher was born on September 7, 1956 in Houston, Texas and he was a resident of Lafayette, Louisiana for the last 52 years. He spent many years working in the Oil and Gas Industry in South Louisiana. John will be remebered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. John is survived by his wife of 37 years, Brenda Neveaux Fisher; his children, Chris Fisher and his wife Jana, and Natalee Rosso and her husband Seth; his grandchildren, Owens and Colton; his siblings, Shawn Fisher, Michelle Jenkins, and Cherry Fisher May; as well as his aunts, Johnnia Clark, and Jean Greenwood. He was preceeded in death by his parents, Hugh Edward Fisher and Leta Gilmer Fisher; his uncles, Walter Greenwood, and Richard Clark; and one cousin, Jerry Bates. The family wishes to offer heartfelt thank to all of his life long friends from "The Easy Street Miracles", and the many Nurses, Doctors and Medical Staff who helped him throughout the last 3 years of his illness. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in honor of "John Hugh Fisher" to St Jude Childrens Research Hospital at https://www.stjude.org/ John will be laid to rest with his parents, Hugh and Leta Fisher, at the Gilmer Family Cemetery in Lobelville, Tennessee at a later date.
