Erath – A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath for Glenn Moore, age 76, who passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 4th, 2021 at his residence with his family by his side. Father Andre Metrejean will officiate the service. Internment will be held in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Cemetery. Glenn was born on February 10th, 1945 in Erath, Louisiana. As a child, he attended elementary school in the "LeBlanc" community. Glenn was a 1964 graduate of Erath High School. After graduation, he finished trade school in Auto Paint & Body. Through more training and certifications, Glenn would go on to achieve a very successful career. When he was not enjoying time with his family, you would find him hunting or fishing. Glenn's meticulous eye made wood carving by hand his favorite past time. He carved canes, walking sticks, and other Cajun treasures. Glenn was mostly known for his creative phrasing of words, which often time resulted in cherished memories. He held a special love for his grandchildren and great grandchildren that was unmistakable. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Glenn is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Merline Romero Moore of Erath; his daughter, Marie Moore Landry and her husband Roy Landry; his daughter-in-law, Ann LeBlanc Moore; his grandchildren, Andre' Romero (Cammie Cheramie), Tyler Landry, Aaiken Moore; his great grandchildren, Mya Lynn and Mia Shay Romero; and his siblings, Catherine Moore Dronet (Benny), Judy Moore Hebert, Connie Moore Lemaire, and Bobby “Bob” Moore (Tami). He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Moore and Paula Baudoin Moore; his son, Charles Ray Moore; his in-laws, Eloi Noy Romero and Lillie Hebert Romero; his brother-in-laws, Kenneth J. Hebert, Murphy Romero, Romel LeBouef; and hi sister-in-laws, Lucy Romero LeBlanc, and Emila Romero LeBouef. The family would like to extend a special thanks Dr.Lahasky and the staff at Lamm Family Care; Lisa and Sonia, we love you for all the care and compassion given to Glenn in this time of need; as well as Father Andre for all of his unexpected visits during our time of need.
