Maurice- George John Henry, Sr., age 66, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at his residence in Maurice. George was born on May 8, 1954 in New Orleans, Louisiana and was a resident of Maurice. He worked for the SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) and he had a special place in his heart for dogs, especially Rottweilers and Chihuahuas. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and watching movies. George will be remembered as a loving husband and father. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. George is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Allison Badon Henry; his children, Karen jones, Tiffany Ellis, George Henry Jr., Nell Henry, and Elise Henry; his grandchildren, Jashira Clivens, Jasmine Clivens, Jnisha Ricks, Gregory Shelvin, Durrell Henry, Khalil Ellis, Benjamin Ellis, Ty’Shawn Henry, Tajh Henry, Geordyn Henry, Joel M. Evens, Jeffrey Peters, and Jalen Peters; his great grandson, Kireem Bean; his sisters, Nancy Payne and Elizabeth Henry; his Godchildren, ShaQuesha Evans Hilliard, and Thurman Joseph; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Henry Sr., and Nancy Mearis Henry; his brother, Sidney Albert Henry Jr.; and his beloved Chihuahua “Lady J”.
