Maurice - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at 1:00 pm in St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Maurice for Cludette Sellers Romero, age 73, who passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022, in Lafayette, Louisiana. Rev. Paul Bienvenu, Pastor of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the mass and conduct the funeral services. Visitation will held on Thursday, March 3, 2022, from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Cypress Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 11:00 am. Cludette is survived by her children, Charolette Romero of Maurice, and Rickey Romero (Rachelle) of Maurice; her grandchildren, Krista Romero, Chris O'Quinn, and Ryan O'Quinn; her great grandchildren, Gavin LeBeouf, Blayke O'Quinn, and Kennedi O'Quinn; her sister, Sharon DeBlanc (Donald) of Maurice; her aunt, Willa Gaspard of Abbeville; her uncle, Opta "Jr." Sellers of Conroe, Texas; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Ronald Romero; her parents, Dalton Sellers and Mary Hebert Sellers; her grandson, Brandon O'Quinn; and her brother, Ricky Anthony Sellers. Pallbearers will be, Ricky Romero, Chris O'Quinn, Kendel Fontenot, Charles Folk, Steven Gaspard, and Donald Gaspard. Ryan O'Quinn will be an Honorary Pallbearer.
