Abbeville- Cheryl Ann Babineaux, 63, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021 at her residence in Abbeville, Louisiana. Cheryl was born on March 18, 1958 in Abbeville, Louisiana and she was a lifelong resident of Vermilion Parish. In her time away from work she enjoyed taking trips to the casino with her sister and cooking. More than anything Cheryl loved spending time with her family, visiting with her sister and being with her grandchildren that she absolutely adored. Cheryl will be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother, as well as a loving sister and friend. She will be dearly missed. Cheryl is survived by her children, Mandy Durke Gary and Haley Vice both of Abbeville; her grandchildren, Jerry Palma II, Ryli Palma and Charli Palma of Abbeville; her brother, Ronald Babineaux Sr. of Abbeville; and her sister, Linda Benoit of Abbeville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roland Babineaux and Velta Melancon Babineaux; her sister, Tammy Derouen; and her nephew, Ronald Babineaux, Jr. A special thanks to all her family and friends and to Hospice of Acadiana for their kindness, compassion and gentle care given to Cheryl and her family during her time of need.
