Broussard - Charles Richard Palmer, Jr., age 63, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021 in Broussard, Louisiana. Charles "Chuck" Palmer, Jr. was born on July 13, 1958 in New Iberia, Louisiana and he was a resident of Youngsville for 35 years. As siblings we always referred to our brother as "Chuck". But as an adult he was known to his friends as Charlie. Charlie loved the game of golf, it was his world! He and our dad would talk golf, play golf together and watch golf together. Later in life after Chuck lost his spouse he branched out and made many new friends, and rekindled friendships with old friends. Our family is forever grateful for his group of close friends who cared for him and looked out for him. Charlie will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Charles is survived by his siblings, Cheryl Jarfi of Louisville Kentucky; Cindy Palmer Menard of Lafayette, Louisiana; John B. Palmer Carlsbad California, and Julia Lynne Palmer of Lafayette Louisiana; his nieces and nephews, Nadia Jarfi, Miranda Jarfi, Hallie Menard, Christopher Menard, Adam Jarfi, and Michael Palmer; as well as his great nephew, Aidan Jarfi. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Palmer and Clara Hebert Palmer. We have chosen not to do a service at this time due to Covid-19 but we will have a celebration of life at a later date.
