Tyler Miller Alderson

Lafayette - A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at 6:00 pm at Cypress Funeral Home in Maurice, LA for Tyler Miller Alderson, age 27, who passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022, in Lafayette, LA. Pastor Greg Gaspard of Unity Baptist Church will officiate. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2022, from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Cypress Funeral Home. Tyler Miller Alderson was born on August 9, 1994, in Lafayette, LA and he was a lifelong resident of Acadiana. He was a competitive athlete that excelled at football, soccer and his favorite sport of all, baseball. Tyler was huge in stature with an even larger heart, coming across as a goofy teddy bear once you got to know him. In his younger years he was the life of the party, but as he grew older he became more of an observer. Tyler loved family vacations, but no more than he loved to eat (not being particularly picky either). The love he had for both of his daughters was always evident and he gave the utmost respect to the parents of Addicen and Aubreigh. A special thanks to Heather and Kaylen for the support and care that they provide for the girls. Tyler always spoke of them, inquiring about their well-being at every opportunity. His eyes would light up anytime he saw photos of his family and the girls. Our family sincerely prayed for and with Tyler for the day that he would win his battle and begin making up for lost time. Now, we ask for prayers in his absence for peace and understanding. Tyler will be dearly missed. Tyler is survived by his daughters, Addicen Claire and Aubreigh Cecile Hodges; his parents, Allyson and Shane Wiggins and Josh Alderson; his siblings, Anthony Davis, Shelby Skaggs, Logan Roessler, as well as Samantha and Savannah Wiggins; his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and his best friend, Gwen Morton; along with a host of countless friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Charles Alderson. We deeply appreciate the support, sympathy, love, and kindness received from all our family and friends. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to be given to Allyson Wiggins for the future education of Addicen and Aubreigh Hodges. Cypress Funeral Home & Crematory, 206 W.
