Maurice - A Liturgy of the word will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Cypress Funeral Home in Maurice for Scott James Bourriague, age 48, who passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025 in Marietta, GA. Deacon Keith Duhon will be the Celebrant. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 10:00 AM until service time at Cypress Funeral Home. Scott was born on July 10, 1977 in Lafayette, LA and he was a resident of Smyrna, GA. He was a dedicated worker with 13 years at Franks Casing and 3 years at Yates Industries. He was known for his big heart, generous spirit, and willingness to help anyone in need. Scott was bigger than life; he was adventurous and full of life, and always the life of the party. His family was most important; he and his wife, Tiffany, were together for 23 years. He will be remembered not only for his professional dedication, but also for the many lives he touched with his friendship, compassion, and generosity. Scott's presence will be deeply missed, and his memory cherished by all who knew and loved him. Scott is survived by his beloved wife of 19 years, Tiffany M. Bourriague; his children, Talia N. Touchet of Lafayette, Madeline J. Bourriague of Smyrna, and Taeghan A. Bourriague of Smyrna; his parents, Victor John and Jane Bourriague; his brother, Adam Bourriague (Kimberly) of Lafayette; his niece, Emmerson Bourriague; as well as many cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Rene Louis Bourriague and Madeline Bourriague; as well as his maternal grandparents, Harold Miller and Myrtle Miller. Honorary pallbearers are: Adam Bourriague, Jeramie Angelle, Shane Angelle, Palmer Prejean, William Yates, and Jeff Webre. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the doctors and nurses who cared for Scott over the last year and to his devoted wife, Tiffany, for her loving care and support during his last few months; as well as to all the family and friends who have shared their love, support, and prayers during this time.
