Ronnie Joe "Ron Jon" Pilcher

Maurice - A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at 6:00 pm at Cypress Funeral Home Chapel in Maurice for Ronnie “Ron Jon” Joe Pilcher, age 38, who passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, in Maurice. Deacon Keith Duhon of Milton will officiate. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, from 12:00 pm until the time of service in the Cypress Funeral Home Chapel. Ronnie was born on April 5, 1984, in Tucson Arizona and he was a resident of Maurice. Ronnie was one of the most creative and artistic people you could ever meet. He was self-employed and was the owner of Southern Sculptors & Fine Line Flooring. You may have seen some of his amazing work around Acadiana, as well as the Gulf Coast area. In his time away from work he enjoyed playing frisbee golf and competing in frisbee golf tournaments. He won first place in his last tournament. He also loved to travel, visit waterfalls, snowboard, and hike in the Mountains. He was one of the most tender-hearted and Selfless people you could ever meet. He truly never met a stranger. He was an amazing husband, a truly loyal lifelong friend, a great brother, and a loving son. More than anything Ronnie was a family man, he cherished spending time with his family and his loved ones. But, perhaps, his most amazing attribute was being an incredible father to the light of his life, Vera. Ronnie is survived by his loving wife, Skyla Whitworth Pilcher of Maurice; his daughter, Vera Rose Pilcher of Maurice; his mother, Benita Guidry Pilcher; his father, Kevin Pilcher, and his wife Daphne; his siblings, Justin Pilcher, Derrick Blanchard, and his wife Nikki, Brittany Pecor, and her husband Ian, and Krissi Garrett; his nieces and nephews, Jayden, Ava, Kason, Easton, Addie, Emma, Cullen, Anniston, and Gavin; his godchild, Tate Mathews; his mother-in-law, Simonne Thomas, and her husband Toby; his father-in-law, Ronnie Whitworth, and his wife Sonia; his sister-in-law, Miranda Hebert, and her husband Dusty; his two cherished dogs, Buddy and Rascal; his cat, Chippy; along with a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his aunt, Cathy Guidry; as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents. In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a college fund account in Vera Pilcher’s name, donations can be made by calling any local branch of Gulf Coast Bank. Cypress Funeral Home & Crematory, 206 W.
