Leroy - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on April 8, 2026, at 12:00 Noon at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Leroy for Paul Duhon, age 68, who passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at his residence in Leroy. Reverend Paul Bienvenu, Pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Leroy, will be Celebrant of the Funeral Mass. Visitation will be held on April 8, 2026, from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. A Rosary will be prayed at 11:00 AM in the Church. Paul was born on January 12, 1958 in Abbeville and he was a longtime resident of Leroy. He was a man of the earth and a pillar of faith, whose life was defined by the seasons of the farm and the devotion of a servant’s heart. For Paul, farming wasn't just a job; it was a lifestyle that he mastered and a legacy he carefully passed down, ensuring his children inherited not only his skills but his incredible work ethic. Most importantly, Paul was a devout Catholic; his life was a testament to his strong faith. He was known as a man of immense positivity and quiet strength: slow to anger and exceptionally generous with his time and spirit. While he took great pride in his crops, his greatest "harvest" was his family. They were his number one priority and his greatest source of pride and joy. Paul’s gentle nature and his enduring love for his family leave a lasting impression on all those that are left behind, as well as an abundance of positive memories to carry with them in their hearts. Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Sue Ellen Duhon; his children, Ryan Paul Duhon (Brittany), Matthew Luke Duhon (Nicole), and Taylor Michele York (Bailey); his grandchildren, Zoey Melancon, Carter Duhon, Caroline Dubois, Bree Duhon, Jacob Dubois, and Carlie Duhon; his mother, Vernice Duhon; his siblings, Mary Hebert, Freddie Duhon, and JB Duhon; his wonderful brothers and sister-in-laws; his beloved nieces and nephews; as well as countless extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Otis Bradley Duhon; his brothers, Lloyd Duhon and Jean Bradley Duhon; and his nephew, Cori Wayne Duhon.
