Lafayette - Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Cypress Funeral Home in Maurice for Paul Chevalier, age 51, who passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021 in Terrebonne Parish, due to a fatal car accident. Father Francis Fontenot, will be the officiant of the services. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 12:00 Noon in the Chapel of Cypress Funeral Home. From his Wife: It was always love at first sight. Hearing you dragging your feet with those big slippers. Hit me baby! From Britt: Hey Paul, I know you can hear me up there. I wish we could have one last talk. Until we meet again. I love you, Mash Potatoe. From Granny: As my son in law, I always thought of you as a wonderful, kind hearted person. You didn’t get enough time to stay with the family. We will miss you, my son. My heart is broken. From Mike: I’m going to miss our laughs, our talks, hanging out together cooking and eating. All that good shrimp and fish we used to cook. Until we meet again my brother, fly high. Rest in peace. From Moosh and family: When you left us, you took a piece of everybody’s heart with you. We can’t question God’s plan in life. It saddens us that you left us behind. Your wife, everyone, we all ask why with tears in our eyes. We will always keep your name alive. Love you forever family. From Ebony: This all feels unreal. As long as I can, I will look at this world for both of us. I will laugh with the birds, I will sing with the flowers, I will pray to the stars for the both of us. Paul is survived by his darling wife, Theresa Chevalier; his loving parents Judy Chevalier Batiste and Joseph Batiste (Elanor), His beloved children; Reginald (Ashley), Ebony (Jermanda), DiAndre, Brittany (Sydnee), Terrell (Artalor), Chammey Chevalier; his godchild, Janiyah; his six brothers, Quinten (Gebby), Michael(Crystal), Christopher(Sadie), Timothy(Kiersten), Mohammed(Jontel), Alvin(Tabatha); as well as a host of sister in laws, son in laws, 12 nieces, seven nephews, 11 grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and of course his amazing coworkers of Baileys Offshore Company. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Joseph Curtis Minor Sr.; his grandmother, Mary Chevalier; his grandparents, Peter and Mabel Batiste; his great grandmother, Mary Faulk.
