Patrick Dale Seaux

Lafayette - Patrick Dale Seaux, Sr., 77, passed away peacefully at the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Home on June 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of family, friends, and staff. Born in March 1949 in Rayne, Louisiana, Patrick was the youngest of seven children. After he and his wife Melissa met in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, they relocated several years later and spent the last 32 years of his life in Lafayette, Louisiana, building a life centered on faith, family, and service to others. Patrick proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a Military Working Dog (MWD) handler, a specialized role within Air Force Security Forces. During the Vietnam War, he completed two tours of duty in Thailand. His military service remained a source of great pride throughout his life. A talented musician, singer, and songwriter, Patrick found great joy in writing music, especially songs that glorified Jesus. Though he often underestimated his own abilities, those who knew him recognized the remarkable talent, passion, and faith reflected in his music. Throughout his career, Patrick worked in sales, marketing, and restaurant management. He was truly a jack of all trades and could often be found tackling projects, solving problems, and lending a helping hand wherever it was needed. Patrick's deep love for God guided every aspect of his life. As a member of Christian Life Center in Lafayette, he founded and led the church's television ministry for 17 years, faithfully helping spread the Gospel. After stepping down from that role, he continued his ministry by creating the television program, “To Everyone an Answer”, on Acadiana Open Channel. Through this outreach, Patrick welcomed questions about the Bible from anyone willing to ask, with the heartfelt goal of sharing God's Word and helping others grow in their faith. Patrick enjoyed golfing, fishing, gardening, and, as those who loved him will fondly remember, occasionally annoying people just for fun. He had a quick wit, a strong personality, and a gift for making life interesting. One of Patrick's greatest joys in his later years was his beloved cat, Kitty. Their special bond brought him comfort, companionship, and countless moments of happiness. Patrick was especially close to his sister, Patricia "Patty" Hymel. Their relationship was marked by an extraordinary bond, countless memories, and unwavering love for one another. He is survived by his loving wife, Melissa Seaux; his son, Matthew Seaux (fiancée, Cheryl Lynn); his daughter, Rayne' Seaux; his stepson, David "Mikey" Raffray; his sisters, Patricia "Patty" Hymel, Delta McGraw, and Carita Wilson; his brother, Gilbert Seaux; grandchildren, Ning and Zayed; and numerous other family members and friends whose lives were touched by his kindness, faith, humor, and generosity. He was preceded in death by his father, Wyman Seaux; his mother, Frances Creduer; and his brothers, Wyman Seaux, Jr. and Elton Seaux. The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to Alex Tall and Frances and Anthony Hotard for their loving support and friendship throughout Patrick's stay at the Veterans Home. Their kindness, compassion, and dedication meant the world to both Patrick and Melissa. The family also expresses sincere appreciation to the entire staff of the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Home for their dedication, compassion, and tireless care of Patrick and all the veterans entrusted to them. A special thank you is extended to the ladies of the Activities Department, whose enthusiasm, kindness, and ability to make each day enjoyable brought joy not only to Patrick, but to so many veterans in their care. The family is also grateful to Lamm Hospice for their support and guidance during this difficult time. Their kindness and professionalism brought comfort to Patrick and his loved ones when it was needed most. An intimate graveside ceremony with close family and friends will be held at the Veterans Cemetery in Jennings, Louisiana, where Patrick will be laid to rest with the military honors he so proudly earned. Patrick's legacy is one of unwavering faith, devoted service, enduring love, and a lifelong commitment to sharing the message of Jesus Christ. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cypress Funeral Home & Crematory, 206 W.
