Erath - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 12:30 PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath for Michael Paul LeBlanc, age 80, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at his residence in Erath. Father Andre Metrejean, pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, will be the celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 in St. Johns Hall located in the building next to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church from 8:30 AM until 12:30 PM. A Rosary will be recited at 10:00 AM. Michael Paul LeBlanc was born on August 17, 1941 in Erath, Louisiana and he was a lifelong resident of Vermilion parish. Michael was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. He was married to the love of his life, Tina Bodin Leblanc, for 59 years. For most of his life Michael worked with his father at LeBlanc's Grocery and later went on to own the business. He also worked as a life insurance agent for Bankers Life, as well for Abbeville General Hospital where he worked in the print shop until his retirement. He loved his family, friends, Grandchildren, and great grandchildren. From a young age he enjoyed raising Quarter Horses, Hunting Dogs, studying pedigrees, Big Game Hunting, cooking, classic Country music, and Westerns movies. In his later years of life he enjoyed calling his friends, going to the feed store, and spending time at the barn with his horses. Michael always tried to instill the importance of family and love into his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Michael is survived by his loving wife, Tina Bodin LeBlanc of Erath, his children, Chad LeBlanc, Shawn LeBlanc, and Shamane LeBlanc Sagrera; his grandchildren, Monee Griffith , Trent Griffith, Taylor LeBlanc Roberts, Cody LeBlanc, Olivia LeBlanc, Lane LeBlanc, and Molli LeBlanc; his great grandchildren, Alexander Roberts, Wrynn Roberts, and Brinley Rachal; his siblings, Randall LeBlanc, and Heddy LeBlanc Nunez; as well as his Daughter-in-law Fran Leblanc, Son-in-law Ike Sagrera, and a host of Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Joseph P. LeBlanc and Mrs. Pearl Belair LeBlanc; and his In-laws Clarence and Ena Bodin. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be; Cody LeBlanc, Trent Griffith, Lane LeBlanc, Shawn LeBlanc, Randall LeBlanc, and Philip Nunez. Honorary pallbearers, Ike Sagrera.
