Lafayette - Obituary Mary Jude Suire Adam, 63 years of age and a resident of Lafayette, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025 surrounded by loved ones and family. Mary was born on December 23, 1961 in Kaplan, Louisiana, where she grew up in a loving home and developed a passion for music and good food. After graduating from high school in 1979, Mary attended Charity Hospital School of Radiologic Technology in New Orleans, Louisiana, obtaining her certification as a Radiologic Technologist in July 1981. Mary had a remarkable career that spanned over 40 years, providing services in Louisiana and Texas as an X-Ray Technician and specializing in Mammography. During those years, she worked for Women and Children’s Hospital, Ochsner St. Mary Hospital, Breast Center of Acadiana, Methodist Hospital, Memorial Hermann Hospital, and Lourdes Breast Center. Mary will be fondly remembered as a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed gardening, travel, and new adventures. Her dedication to bringing loved ones together for holidays and special events was a testament to her nurturing spirit. Mary’s warm smile and comforting presence will be missed. Mary is survived by her beloved husband of 32 years, Charles Michael Adam, and their son, Alexander Michael Adam. She also leaves behind her brothers, Charles (Danielle), Billy (Martha), and Riis (Lisa), and her sister, Charlotte (Joey). Mary will be deeply missed by her many nieces and nephews: Charlsie, Corey (Shannon), Devon (Ruston), Cody, Jody, Jared (Simone), Jed (Monica), Josh (Aline), Jace (Sadie), Colby (Tori), Heath (Maranda), Andrew, Richard, and Kerryanne, as well as numerous cousins and dear friends. Mary is preceded in death by her father, William Suire Jr., her mother, Maudrey Jean Breaux Suire, and Dorie Suire, Casey Suire, and James Hebert. A memorial service will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday October 11th at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Kaplan LA. The church will open at 9:30 am, Rosary at 10:00 am and Mass at 10:30 am. Services will be officiated by Mary’s great nephew Rev. John Joseph Bourque, CJC. Burial will follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Kaplan LA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society in Mary’s name memory.
