Breaux Bridge - Visitation will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, from 11:30 am until 2:30 pm at Cypress Funeral Home in Maurice for Lori Ann Duhon, age 61, who passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, in Breaux Bridge. A Rosary will be recited on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 2:30 pm at Cypress Funeral Home in Maurice. Lori Ann Duhon was born on February 21, 1963, in Lafayette and she was a resident of Breaux Bridge. "This is Lori’s day, My beautiful Lori where do we begin to speak about you. If you knew her, there is no doubt you loved her and no doubt she loved you as well. What a beautiful soul this girl had. So beautiful inside and out, a hard worker, a great friend, and one of the best sister’s God gave us. She was dealt some hard times in her life, but never gave in or gave up. She never judged nor was ever envious of anyone or anything. She always had kind words about how good you looked, or just anything small she would let you know and made you feel good. Her boys, oh let me tell you those boys were her life, she gave up so much to make sure they had what they needed. To her grandkids, well we all know they were equally as important, she proved that when she gave up yet even more to help raise them. And all the while never asked for a thing. She worked harder than anyone I know and loved her customers so much. Coffee depot, you guys will never know how happy she was at her lil place of employment. Thank y'all for being so good to her. She fought a long hard battle but of course she did, that was Lori, a fighter and warrior. Till her last day here her words were “I’m not giving up” and of course you had better believe she gave it hell. Lor, your work here on earth is done go rest high Sis." Lori Ann Duhon is survived by her children, Tyler Dayne Duhon (Shayna), Alex Kohl Duhon (Kady), Mitchell Paul Gary (Bree), and Kennedi Marae Gary; her grandchildren, Lukas, Keali, Jaxon, Asa, Ruby Sue-Ann, and Alexander Van; her great-grandchildren, Landon and Sutton; her father, Howard John Duhon; her step-father, Donald Romero; her siblings, Tammy Broussard, Kim Stelly, Toni Guidry (Francis), and Shannan Roy (Kelly); her step-sister, Mandy Roger; as well as her step-brothers, Donald Romero, Jr., Corey Romero, Shane Romero, and John Romero. She was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Romero; her nephew, Dylan Guidry; as well as her brother-in-law, Glenn Broussard. The family wishes to offer a heartfelt thank you to the nurses, doctors, and staff at Hospice of Acadiana, especially her sweet nurses, Allyson and Mallory; Doctor Pruitt, her oncologist; as well as her dearest friend, Sarah Laughlin.
