Lafayette - El servicio fúnebre se llevará a cabo el sábado 16 de agosto de 2025 a las 11:30 AM en la Funeraria Cypress de Maurice para Lisney Tania Sánchez Guevara, de 14 años, quien falleció el domingo 10 de agosto de 2025. El pastor Carlos Schmidt oficiará el servicio. El velatorio se llevará a cabo el sábado 16 de agosto de 2025, de 10:00 AM a 1:00 PM, en la Funeraria Cypress de Maurice. Lisney nació el 17 de agosto de 2010 en Ciego de Ávila, Cuba. Fue una hija, prima, estudiante y amiga muy querida, cuya presencia llenaba cualquier espacio de calidez y alegría. Brillante, enérgica y amigable, Lisney tenía un don especial para hacer sonreír a los demás. Amaba todo lo relacionado con el color rosa, desde vestidos hasta decoraciones, y esperaba con mucha ilusión celebrar su quinceañera, que habría sido el domingo siguiente a su partida. Su sentido del humor, ingenio y encanto juguetón eran incomparables. Le encantaba bailar, cantar karaoke y transformar los días ordinarios en momentos divertidos, prestando ropa de la casa para jugar a disfrazarse. Su sonrisa era contagiosa, su corazón puro y su espíritu verdaderamente único. Le sobreviven su amorosa madre, Liennys Guevara Sarabia; su tía, Betty Sarabia Alvarez; y sus primas, Lisney y Ludys Borroto Sarabia. Se reunió en el descanso eterno sus bisabuelos Blanca Margarita Álvarez Dueña y Rogelio Guevara Iglesias, su abuela Tania Sabaia Álvarez y su tío Pedro Pablo Chaviano. Lisney was born on August 17, 2010, in Ciego De Ávila, Cuba. She was a beloved daughter, cousin, student, and friend whose presence filled every space with warmth and joy. A bright, energetic, and friendly young girl, Lisney had a gift for making people smile. She loved all things pink, from dresses to decorations, and had been looking forward with excitement to celebrating her quinceañera which would have been the following Sunday from her passing. Lisney’s humor, wit, and playful charm were unmatched. She loved to dance, sing karaoke, and transform ordinary days into moments of fun by borrowing clothes from around the house for dress-up. Her smile was infectious, her heart pure, and her spirit truly one-of-a-kind. She is survived by her loving mother, Liennys Guevara Sarabia; her aunt, Betty Sarabia Alvarez; and her cousins Lisney and Ludys Borroto Sarabia. She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents Blanca Margarita Alvarez Dueña and Rogelio Guevara Iglesias, her grandmother Tania Sabaia Alvarez, and uncle Pedro Pablo Chaviano. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and hospital staff for their care and compassion during Lisney’s final days, as well as to the many teachers, friends, and community members who have offered love and support during this difficult time. We would also like to take a moment to thank all of her caregivers and family friends, including Manuel, Valentina, Yaima, Meldre, and many others whose kindness and care have meant so much.
