Jimmie Floyd Vincent

Milton - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milton for Jimmie Floyd Vincent, age 86, who passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at his residence in Milton. Reverend William Shambough, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church will serve as celebrant of the Mass and officiate the service. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Cypress Funeral Home in Maurice. A Rosary will be prayed at 12 noon on Monday in the Funeral Home. Jimmie was born on October 1, 1938, in Milton, Louisiana and was a life-long resident of Lafayette Parish. He was a graduate of Lafayette High School class of 1957. After high school Jimmie went on to serve his country in the United States Navy. He completed submarine school and served aboard the USS Greenfish. After his return from the service, Jimmie began his career with United Gas Pipeline. Away from work Jimmie was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved to work with his hands, building and fixing things in need of repair. He will be remembered as a loving husband, and father. Jimmie will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Jimmie is survived by his wife, Deanna Clark Vincent of Milton; his children, David Vincent (Laurence) of Lafayette, Amy Hutchinson (Glen) of Milton, Terrell Vincent (Kimberly) of Indian Bayou, and Matthew Vincent (Melissa) of Milton; his grandchildren, William Michael Vincent, Morgan Nicole Vincent, and Eric Vincent; his siblings, Goldie Vincent, Bonnie Hebert (Wayne), Vickie Landry (Riley), Brenda Delay (Chris), Debra Venable (Steve), and Mark Vincent (Jeanette); as well as his beloved dogs, Nyla and Gracie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie Vincent and Viola Picard Hulo; as well as his siblings, Barbara Babin, Faye Comeaux, and Charles "Chuck" Vinent. Honored to serve as pallbearers, David Vincent, Terrell Vincent, Matthew Vincent, Eric Vincent, Mark Vincent, and Douglas Duhon. Entombment services will be held in the Mausoleaum of St. Josephs Catholic Cemetery in Milton. In Lieu of Flowers memorial donations may be made to "Heart of Hospice" in Memory of Jimmie Vincent. The Vincent family wishes to offer a special Thank-You to his nurses from Heart of Hospice, his personal caregivers, Daphne Dunn (Miss Lou's) and his grandson, Eric Vincent.
