Breaux Bridge - Elliott "Bubba" "Ells-A-Bells" Trahan, age 7, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 23, 2024, in Breaux Bridge. A private Funeral Mass will be held at a later date and will be officiated by Father Garrett McIntyre at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge. Elliott Joseph Trahan was born on March 22, 2017, in Lafayette and he was a lifelong resident of Breaux Bridge. He was creative, curious, and always looking for his next adventure. Elliott loved building his imaginative world on Minecraft, going for bike rides, with frequent stops along the way to collect wildflowers, and plotting out the best pranks to pull on his family and friends. He loved to banter and always had a witty retort ready to go. He was the most fun person to have a conversation with, and his infectious laughter brightened every room. It goes without saying that seven years was simply not enough. Though his time on earth was too short and his hardships too great, he undeniably knew love. His unfathomable bravery and steadfast courage is an inspiration to anyone who had the honor to know him. As Elliott would often say when questioned about his pain, "It never hurts to smile." His positive outlook in the face of suffering leaves behind a legacy of hope and resilience even against all odds. Elliott is survived by his loving parents, Cana and Rodney Trahan; his younger brother, Preston 'P' Trahan; his grandparents, Evelyn Trahan, Christy and Keith Zimmerman, and Rodney Pulliam; his great-grandparents, Mary and Edward LeJune, Joyce Savoy, Jenny Tucker, and Margaret and Ray Zimmerman; his aunts and uncles, Nicole and Troy Mayon, Kelsi and Landon Miller, Chantelle Pulliam, Camryn Zimmerman, and Kaleb Zimmerman; as well as his cousins, Audriana LeBlanc, Lydie Miller, and Aubree Walker. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Justina 'Tina' Gaubert, who died before meeting any of her grandchildren. Now Elliott and his grandmother can finally meet in an eternal embrace. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Dreams Come True of Louisiana, an organization that honors brave kids like Elliott.
