Baton Rouge - Charles "Chuck" Thomas Jeffcoat, age 65, who passed away July 22, 2022, in Baton Rouge, LA. Chuck was born on November 16, 1956, in Columbia, SC and he was a longtime resident of East Baton Rouge Parish. Everyone knew when Chuck was nearby because of the sound of his unmistakable deep voice and infectious laugh. If you happened to give him any chance to playfully joke with you, he would not stop until everyone was laughing, including yourself. Chuck also never forgot a good time and loved to repeat those stories. He never complained and never wanted to be a burden to anyone even when he was experiencing very difficult circumstances. That's just the type of man he was and he will truly be missed. Chuck loved doting on his daughter and grandchildren all of the time. He did not need a special occasion to spoil those that he loved. If he could have given us the world he would have. Chuck was a maintenance supervisor most of his employed life and was very knowledgeable in his craft. He was generous with his maintenance experience and helped those he loved when he was needed. Wherever he went he would contribute to providing the food or cooking and also beautiful and delicious cakes to add to the festivities. He also enjoyed eating out with friends and family, especially at Waffle House, but he had a few favorite spots he enjoyed going to often. Chuck was a very patriotic man so Independence Day celebrations would include generous amounts of fireworks. Chuck's family includes a small few of his dearly beloved relatives, but we all know that if you are Chuck's friend, then he held you and yours dearly close to his heart as his family also. Those that he loved made his life full. Chuck is survived by his daughter, Jena Jeffcoat; his son-in-law, Chris Hebert; his grandchildren, Paighton, Eli, Ethan, and Casen; along with a host of dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Barbara Jeffcoat as well as many other dearly beloved family and friends that will welcome him home.
