Maurice - A Liturgy of the Word service will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Cypress Funeral Home in Maurice for Brian Keith Richard, age 67, who passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025, at his residence in Maurice. Deacon Keith Duhon of Our Lady of Prompt Succor will officiate. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM at Cypress Funeral Home. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM Wednesday evening in the funeral home. Visitation will continue Thursday, June 5, 2025, from 8:00 until the time of services. Brian Keith Richard was born on September 12, 1957, in Abbeville, Louisiana, and he was a lifelong resident of Vermilion Parish. He worked for M&L Industries for more than 24 years, serving as the manager of the parts department. His favorite pastimes were fishing, spending time outdoors, camping, and gardening. He had a love for animals, especially his cat, Minn. He enjoyed working with his hands, fixing and building things; he was a jack of all trades and was always willing to assist those in need. More than anything, Brian cherished his family, and his greatest happiness came from the moments he shared with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Brian is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Annette Marie LaGrange Richard of Maurice; his children, Keith Richard (Danielle) of Florida, and Megan Stevens (Johnathan) of Baton Rouge; his grandchildren, Wyatt Stevens, Mila Richard, Henry Richard, Benjamin Stevens, and Weston Richard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter John Richard, and Hilda Mae Trahan Richard; as well as his brother, Kenneth Wayne Sr. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Keith Richard, Johnathan Stevens, Kenneth Richard Jr., Wyatt Stevens, Kevin Landry, and Norris Trahan; Honorary Pallbearers include Tommy Delhomme, and Donald Comeaux Sr. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Bridgeway Hospice for the care and compassion they offered Brian in his time of need; as well as his coworkers and staff members of M&L Industries for all of their support. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cypress Funeral Home & Crematory, 206 W. Lafayette St., Maurice, LA 70555.
