Brenda Faye Mouton Gayneaux

Maurice - A Liturgy of the Word Service will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Cypress Funeral Home in Maurice for Brenda Faye Mouton Gayneaux, age 75, who passed away peacefully on Friday, July 12, 2024, in Abbeville. Deacon Byron Soley of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Maurice will officiate. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Cypress Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 11:00 AM. Brenda Faye Mouton Gayneauxwas born on December 13, 1948, in Kaplan and she was a longtime resident of Abbeville. She was a kind and loving person. Brenda enjoyed listening to live music, crocheting, reading, and attending family gatherings. She loved living in the country and raising a variety of farm animals. Brenda also enjoyed fishing and hunting. She had a sweet disposition and was loved by many. Brenda will be greatly missed by those who loved and knew her. Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Russell D. Gayneaux; her children, Brian Heath Leleux (Celina) of Crowley and Marcus Drew Leleux of Alexandria; her step-children, Henry Gayneaux (Jennifer), Helen Gayneaux, and Carmen Gayneaux; her grandchildren, Bailey Heath Leleux of Crowley and Ashton Heath Leleux of Crowley; her step-grandchildren, Dannielle Gayneaux, Michelle Stiefel, Curtis Gayneaux, Shane Chimeno (Hilda), and Bly Nuckols; her step-great-grandchildren, Aua Chimeno, Addie Chimeno, and Luca Chimeno; as well as her siblings, Floydria Mouton of Kaplan, Debbie M. Weygand of Kaplan, Patricia L. Henry (Greg) of Lyons Point, Glenn D. LeBlanc (Janet) of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, and Lonnie J. LeBlanc of Lyons Point. She was preceded in death by her parents, Odelon Mouton and Ena T. Leblanc; her step-parents, Margaret Mouton and Dennis P. Leblanc; her paternal grandparents, Francis and Paula Mouton; her maternal grandparents, Eddie Touchet and Omeria Faulk; her brothers, James D. Mouton, Sr. and Sherman L. Mouton, Sr.; as well as her niece, Melissa Mouton. Burial will take place at the Abshire Cemetery on LA. Hwy 697 following the chapel service. Pallbearers will be Brian Leleux, Kenneth Weygand, Ashton Leleux, Bailey Leleux, Ethan Weygand, and Glenn LeBlanc. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cypress Funeral Home & Crematory, 206 W. Lafayette St., Maurice, LA 70555.
