Addison "Addis" Claire Stoute

Judice - A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Family Life Church in Lafayette for Addison Claire Stoute, age 16, who went to be with the Lord on May 1, 2025. Pastor Todd Mendard will officiate the service. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at Family Life Church in Lafayette. Addison Claire Stoute was born on September 16, 2008, in Lafayette and she was a life long resident of Judice. Addis as we called her, loved animals, especially chickens, and her beloved cat "Youncey". Addis was a happy child and a joy to be around. She attended Family Life school in Lafayette where her nickname became smiley. Addis was an avid reader and always enjoyed a good book. More than anything she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the younger kids in the family. This beautiful girl was a word master and deep thinker. Writing was one of her amazing gifts. She comprehended and profoundly felt so much around her, even issues across the globe, and knew how to express her thoughts clearly and lyrically. When you got to know her, you saw past the quiet, ultra-private demeanor and discovered a gentle, sensitive, yet courageous and uncompromising soul. It was refreshing to see her smile at something amusing or ridiculously funny. Addis is survived by her parents, Anthony C. Stoute and Deborah Theriot Stoute of Ridge; her siblings, Candice Theriot Guillory (Joshua) of Raceland, Corey Stoute (Haley) of Youngsville, Samantha Eckerle (Stephen) of Kenner, Christopher Stoute (Paris) of Harahan, Rebekah Stoute (Tyler) of Lafayette, Gabrielle Ciaccio (Jonathan) of Metairie, and Madelyn Benoit (Daden) of Duson; her maternal grandmother, Leona Theriot of Gueydan; her paternal grandparents, Clovis John Stoute, and Stella B. Stoute; as well as her nieces and nephews, Brooks, Hayes, Corey John, Carrie Ann, Cayleigh, Chase, Wyatt, Wren, Elise, Stephen, Eden, Emry, Luca, and Theo. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Nelson Theriot.
